Slightly later than planned (due to technical issues!!) here is a short post about my ever so grown up 5 year old who in the last week has lost her 2 first front bottom teeth and has had two visits from the tooth fairy. Seems like only yesterday we were waiting with baited breath for her first teeth to appear (9 August 2006 in case you're interested) and just over 5 years later we'd spent 2 weeks waiting for the wobbly tooth to become a really lose tooth and fall out.
I made her the certificate on the computer as I knew she'd appreciate it, and sure enough, at 5am she came running in shouting "she's been". She seems to be growing up before my eyes and developing a lovely sense of self. But we still get meltdowns and tantrums and moments where you'd swear she's 3 not nearly 6, which serve to remind us all that this little girl may be ever so grown up, but she is still quite little really (regardless of her view - which is "soon I'll be a teenager").
Aw lovely, Imogen is missing the same 2 - one came out in May and the other in September. Definitely growing up here too, and each time a tooth came out she decided herself that she was growing up and went through her toys and books to pass on to the charity shop - things that were too young for her now ;-)
